Story
Eleven years after Allure pour Homme, Chanel proposes Bleu, a fresh, masculine composition blending aromatic notes, citrus and woody barks. A reflection of elegance and freedom, Bleu is a fragrance that makes men want to ‘go off to conquer the world’. Directed by Martin Scorsese, the ad features actor Gaspard Ulliel going off to conquer the heart of a woman he wants to surprise in the heart of New York City. Because at Chanel, the house explains, ‘everything is inscribed and described in freedom’. Sleek and streamlined, with a very Chanel spirit, the Bleu bottle is a dark, almost black shade of blue.
Description
This fresh, woody aromatic scent opens with a sparkling note of citrus jazzed up with pink pepper and peppermint. A warm note emanates from the heart, thanks to cedar paired with vetiver and a floral hint of jasmine. Ginger comes to reinforce the slight bitterness of grapefruit. In the trail, woody waves of sandalwood twine with patchouli and frankincense. Perfumer: Jacques Polge.
